Cape May Warbler
All the way from the West Indies, the first Cape May Warblers of the spring appeared along the Alabama coast. During winters in the tropical West Indies they collect nectar with their unique curled, semitubular tongue. Their favorite food in breeding season across northern U.S. and Canada's boreal forests is spruce budworms.
