Western Kingbird
These mid-size flycatchers winter in South Florida, and return in spring to the West for breeding season. They eat flying insects and often feed on grasshoppers and bees. Western Kingbirds are very territorial, often dive-bombing hawks, ravens and other large birds from their high perches!
