White-eyed Vireo
Dr. Aborn heard his first White-eyed Vireo in Chattanooga this week. This tiny songbird is more remarkable for its song than its colors. During summer in the U.S., it breeds in the eastern and southern states. Populations on the U.S. Gulf Coast and further south may stay year round, while others migrate south to spend winter in Central America and the Caribbean.
