Blackburnian warbler
This warbler is on its way to its breeding grounds in the northeast United States and southeast Canada. One of Dr. Aborn's favorites, the Blackburnian warbler made its first appearance in New Hampshire this weekend. This remarkably beautiful warbler was named after an English woman, Anna Blackburn. No other North American warbler is believed to have an orange throat.
