Hello to all Journey North Classes.
We are Mrs. Berger's 5th grade class from Roslyn, Long Island. Roslyn is on the north shore of Long Island, which is just a hop, skip, and a jump to Manhattan, that is if the traffic is good. :-)
We have the best of both worlds. We have the beauty and surburban life of Long Island, and the hustle and bustle of the "Big Apple". We are having a bad winter and lots of snow, but the grass is still green underneath it all. The squirrels are scampering around the rooftops and the sparrows are twittering away in the morning hours. Our ponds are filled with geese that remain all year because they are fed by the local people.
