Introducing: Mystery Class # 7

Yokwe! We're mystery class number seven. We live in the Kwajalein Atoll, which is located in the Marshall Islands. The island of Kwajalein is three miles long and a half a mile wide. The atoll is a coral reef formation in the shape of a crescent loop surrounding the world's largest lagoon with a surface area of 1,100 square miles. We live on a military base where they test missiles.

Our climate is always warm, except for rainy days. We have two seasons. They are the dry season and the rainy season. Relative humidity is evenly high throughout the year and is slightly higher in the wet season than in the dry season.

Our lives on Kwajalein are very layed back. We have no crime. Our transportation is mostly bicycles. We can rent trucks or golf carts after working hours or on weekends.

People on Kwajalein enjoy snorkeling, diving, swimming, lots of other outdoor sports, and going to the beach of course.

We have four restaurants, four stores including a grocery store. We have two pools, a golf course, three tennis courts, a bowling alley, two soccer fields, a baseball field, a gym, and three schools.

The schools are pre-school, elementary school, and junior/senior high school. Our school is George Seitz Elementary School and it goes from grades one through six. We are the sixth graders, oldest in the building. We have two classes in our grade level. Mr. Beckler teaches math and science and Mrs. Doherty teaches language arts and social studies. We're divided into twenty-two students in each class. We're looking forward to moving up to the jr/sr high next year.

We enjoyed working with Journey North.
