Introducing: Mystery Class # 11 Our school Direk Primary is located in Salisbury North an outer northern suburb of Adelaide. Our class is a 5/6 class of 26 students. The greater metropolitan area sprawls over an alluvial plain fringed by hills to the east known as the Mount Lofty Ranges and the Gulf of St. Vincent to the west. The region enjoys a Mediterranean climate with cool wet Winters and hot dry Summers. Our part of Australia was settled by British settlers in 1836 on land that belonged to the Kaurna people. Sadly little of their culture remains but some of our country towns and suburbs such as Noarlunga, Yankalilla, Cowandilla, Tanunda and Nuriootpa are lasting reminders of their language. We are now experiencing Autumn as those of you in the Northern Hemisphere now have Spring. Nic Carstensen nicc@adam.com.au
