Greetings to all the Journey North netters from Mrs. Berger's class in chilly Roslyn, Long Island, New York. We have the pleasure and sheer fun of conducting the "Name The Eagle" contest again.
It's easy to participate. Just choose a name that your class thinks would be fitting for one of our eagles that we will be tracking. You can briefly tell us why you chose that particular name. Your entry should be submitted to: k12robzj@vaxc.hofstra.edu by March 15th.
Our class will collect and tally all entries and post the entire list of names to the membership. We will select, out of a hat, the winning name for our eagle. It will then be referred to by that name for the duration of the project and will join the illustrious, Sam, the Soaring Eagle, named last year. You might want to extend this contest to your entire school and let them share in the Journey North project with you in this way.
