Hi. We are writing to you from Homer Intermediate School in Homer Alaska.
We spent the fall studying whales, especially the Sperm Whale. Our museum
is in the middle of a 5 year project. They just finished articulating a
sperm whale that is currently hanging from the ceiling of the high school.
They also just completed an orca whale made out of paper mache. They are
working on related exhibits. We have 6 questions for you.
1. Do the barnacles that attach themselves to whales harm the whales?
2. How fast can a humpback whales move backwords?
3. What time of the year do humpback mate?
4. Where do Right whales mate?
5. Do they mate with the same partner for life?
6. How long is prshacy period for whales?

Thank you.
Stephanie and Cassy
P.S. Our school maskot is the Orca whale.
