Hello teachers! My students are planning to do a number of projects Connected
with journey North this spring. We are looking for some partners with whom we
can share data.
The projects we are planning to work on are:
1) a comparison of weekly average temperatures and Robin migration in
Southern Ontario and at least 2 other locations
2) a comparison of bloom date and weekly average temperatures for Red Emperor
tulips in our school garden and at least 2 other locations
3) a comparison of Leaf out date for Northern Red Oak (Quercus rubra) and
White Ash (Fraxinus americana) and weekly average temperatures in Southern
Ontario and at least 2 other locations

4) a comparison of weekly average temperatures and Northern Oriole migration
in Southern Ontario and at least 2 other locations
We will be using weather data from the
Toronto Star newspaper but you can collect your own if you wish. Of course,
we will use the language of science to do our work,
the metric system.
If you are interested in joining us, please let me know
