Hi! We are Nikhil, Greg, Lang, and Jordan. We go to Owenwood P.S. in
Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Our latitude is about 45N and 76Wlongitude.
Do you think we have any birds up here in the winter? We can see two
cardinals from the window right now. We went for a walk in the back of our
school and we heard crows, house sparrows, black capped chickadees, house
finches, mourning doves and blue jays. It was so noisy it sounded like a
bird party. Do you know why we have so many birds? We live beside a
large marsh.

Have you heard any chickadee's. Our chickadees say "chickadee - dee
dee dee - dee". When its spring they say "fee-bee feebee - feebee"also.
It is a sign of the coming of spring. What do your chickadee's say?
Chickadee-dee-dee-dee or Fee -bee fee-bee? dchamberlain@oise.on.ca

We also listened to the cardinal's song. We were listening for it to say
"purdy purdy purdy purdy" or "what cheer what cheer" but we didn't hear
it. When we do we will know that spring is coming? What do your cardinals
sing?

P.S. We have a Great Horned Owl living in our marsh.
