Let's Get Introduced!
Hello!  This is Dr. Nature McGinn, AAAS Science Policy Fellow, and Lynn Foshee Reed, Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow, working at the Polar Programs office at the National Science Foundation.  We are so excited to have been part of the Mystery Class program this year, and can’t wait to tell you about (and show you)  Antarctica!

While you’ve been searching to find Palmer Station, we’ve been busy working as scientists, doing research and also sharing educational material so that everyone can have the chance to learn about Antarctica. In December we traveled to McMurdo and Amundsen-Scott (South Pole) stations in Antarctica, and this photo shows us when we were visiting South Pole Station.

It's certainly a privilege to be here – particularly to be given the opportunity to work alongside a diverse mix of highly motivated people from all walks of life, living together in one of the most breathtaking (and yet unforgiving) places on the planet.
