Reflecting Winter's Light
In a small valley in Norway, steep mountains cast a shadow over the little town nestled below, even at midday. Three mirrors, 17 square meters each, were brought in by helicopter and placed on a mountain, about 450 meters above the centre of the town. Controlled by computers, the tilted mirrors follow the course of the sun to reflect rays of sun down to Rjukan's town square. Stretch your research skills by tracking down more facts about how the mirrors bring winter's light to Rjukan, Norway.
