An Ovoo
An ovoo is a stack of stones that are constructed as landmarks or spiritual sites, and commonly found on a high point in the countryside. The coloured silk in the ovoo represents different parts of nature. The nomads of Mongolia come from a Shamanist background, although many do not follow the traditions any more. Grade 4 had a shaman come in as a guest speaker this year.
