What's new? What do you see for the first time?

Here are some things we noticed:

  • Robin red-breast also has rust-colored feathers on the underside of his wings.
  • You can see the robin's feet are tucked during flight, just like the landing gear of an airplane. This makes the bird more streamlined. This bird appears to have just taken off. The legs are almost all the way up, but you can still see the feet. Those get more tucked into the belly feathers once the bird is aloft.
  • The robin's wings are long—nearly the same length as its body.
