We live in the country near Hudson, Iowa. We first saw the first
Monarch's about three weeks ago. A week ago(9/5) we had thousands of Monarchs in our silver maple, walnut, and pine trees in our yard. We still have Monarchs in our trees but the numbers are greatly reduced from what they were a week ago. Possibly there are several hundred now. Today is Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001.
