On Friday, September 14th, the 6th grade Life Science class at Malvern Preparatory School, in the suburbs of Philadelphia, observed approximately 8 monarchs all flying in a southern direction.

These observations took place during a 15 minute mini-lab/observation, between 2:40 and 2:55 pm.

It was a cool, rainy day with a temperature of 70 degrees.
