Tuesday, September 18, has been our largest sighting. Collectively our class saw 61 Monarch butterflies in the hour after school got out. Most of the butterflies were seen nectaring in backyard gardens, though a few were seen flying overhead among the trees. We have seen the photos of monarch migrations and we are hoping to see a larger number travelling more purposefully soon.
