Tuesday, September 18, was our largest Monarch sighting to date. Collectively our class observed 61 Monarch butterflies in the hour after they got home from school. Most of the Monarchs were seen nectaring in backyard gardens, though some children spotted them flying among the trees. We are hoping to see the butterflies flying more purposefully in the next few weeks.
