All of the 75 5th graders at Timothy Road Elementary School have been watching for Monarchs at school and at home. This is the 1st time we have participated in the symbolic Monarch migration, and everyone is very excited about the project. We finished making our paper butterflies and they are in the mail. During the week of Sept.25-October 4th, the students observed a total of 236 Monarchs at school during recess or the after school program, either on the playground or in our butterfly courtyard.
