Four first grade classes at Hemlock School planted about 100 Red Emperor tulip bulbs in total. It was an unseasonably warm day, drizzly in the am. but clear and sunny by the early afternoon, 68 degrees. The ground was fairly soft in the spot we planted but the children encountered many rocks.
