Tulips were planted on Tuesday, November 19, 2001, after preparing soil by adding new topsoil and digging it into the existing soil. Garden locstion in in full sun, in a four-foot plot in our school garden. It is a raised bed and is surrounded by four-inch thick concrete dividers about eight inches high. We ordered the Red Emperor tulips from the Netherland Bulb Co. We planted a bed of twenty-five tulips,five rows of five.
