Bald Eagle

Date: 01/27/2002

Number: 1

Was woken this morning by the chirps of an eagle. Epecting Speckle's a baby eagle that I have fed for the later two years. I jumped out of bed hoping Speckle's had finally learned to call to me when he had arrived and was ready to eat (like the blue jays do every morning). I was disappointed to find another adult eagle sitting in the tree. You see Speckles's has arrived in late January and has stayed until around the 1st of March for the last two years and I am hoping for his return again this year. Speckles should have his white head now and I guess I'll have to change his name. Later this afternoon there was all this cawing going on down at the neighbors, there were over 100 crows flying in and sitting in the two trees with a baby eagle. I have never seen so many crows around here before. There are usually only about 9 crows that hang out here.
