OVERWINTERING: Red-winged blackbirds are still visiting our wildlife habitat on a daily schedule, since early fall. They arrive, approx. 2- 300, and visit our feeding stations, morning and late afternoon. We provide chicken scratch- cracked corn, wheat, and milo, which they enjoy and is nutritious. It keeps our feeding cost down for this mass amount of birds that we welcome to our habitat. Their flock also contains Brewers blackbirds, not included in the count.
