At 8:15 AM on January 26th, I heard a Robin singing from high in a black-walnut tree in my residential neighborhood. This would have been just about an hour after sunrise. It was a bright-breasted male, and he was facing toward the sun. We have some Robins who stay around all winter here, but they don't sing. I usually don't hear "Robinsong" until well into February. Our winter has been much warmer and less snowy than usual!
