While the Bald Eagles are certainly not nesting here, several of them overwinter in the area as long as there is open water for them to catch fish. There has been a pair cruising along the river in my back yard in Northern Utah for several weeks. They are always a magnificent sight. Although Golden Eagles do nest in our valley in the mountains, the Bald Eagles generally move further North toward the Jackson Hole, Wyoming area and beyond.
