I've had monarchs in my backyard since last summer. I just saw a monarch
caterpiller on a small leaf of the milkweed plant this week.
Two summers ago I started planting milkweed when I learned it attracts
butterflies. This past fall we had so many caterpillars, I wouldn't be able
to count them. As recently as one to two months ago, we found about 10
chrysales( what's the plural of chrysalis) scattered throughout the
yard..even hanging on the siding of the garage and the eave of the house!
