We have seen Monarchs all winter. We raise them in the classroom
and then release them. We may be seeing the ones that are released, but I'm sure that not all the Monarch's are the ones
that are released. We have many people in the neighborhood who
have milkweed and the butterflies have not quit laying eggs all
winter. We can hardly keep up with them. It is a constant struggle to provide the butterflies with milkweed as it does not
want to grow well here in the winter. We have released maybe
50 Monarchs so far this winter.
