Bald Eagle

Date: 02/11/2002

Number: 1

This morning approx.7:55am we noticed a bald eagle on the frozen surface of Sunset Lake (Wash Pond on maps). The bird was approx. 50 ft. from shore near a ice fisherman's shack. We assume the bird was eating either bait or thrown out fish from the fisherman the day before. The bird feasted for approx.15minutes before flying off to the West. Don't know how long he was there before we spotted it.
