We are happy to report that our tulips have emerged. We were afraid that they would come up too early, because some of our experimental bulbs actually emerged at the end of January. We thought it was interesting that the bulb that was planted deeper and that bulb that was planted closer to the surface both came up early. Also, the one that was planted deeper came up first! We have decided that it emerged first because the ground probably didn't freeze that far down in early January when we had very cold weather. We have had a very mild winter.
