Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 02/18/2002

Number: 1

We were expecting that the Monarchs in our butterfly garden would fly south, but it doesn’t appear that they did so. It has been unusually warm this winter. The Monarchs disappeared for about three weeks after we had a frost in our garden in January. We have only seen one or two Monarchs in our garden at a time, but they are there regularly. They fly around over our heads and do not seem afraid of us at all.
