A total of 973 American robins were seen in 2 areas north east of Pomona, Jackson County, IL. The majority of these birds were in 2 waves. One wave was along the Big Muddy River between Shawnee NF Oakwood Bottoms Turkey Bayou and Shawnee NF Little Grand Canyon. The other wave was between Shawnee NR Fairview Area and private property along Hickory Ridge Road, 2-3 miles east northeast of the Shawnee NF Little Grand Canyon. These were/are believed to be 2 independed waves.
