Robin (First HEARD singing)

Date: 02/16/2002

Number: 1

+American Robins seen last week, first one or two and now are in flocks of 10-20 around our apartment building complex. They started singing a couple of days ago and calling. They like to make their nests in our electric/gas meters that are protected againest the walls. It is cold, snowing and windy today, the robins were eating dried berries off the trees and picking at the grass. At times they looked like they were drinking melted snow off the roof. When it was windy they would puff up and roost together on the slope of the roofs.
