Earthworm (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/01/2002

Number: 1

One of our 1st grades went out to plant early crops their spring garden. The nighttime temperature has been in the teens for the last 2 nights, but the soil must have been warmer. The children found lots of worm ans they dug into the soil to loosen it up. There were big worms all curled into knots and smaller skinny worms. THese kids also have been burying apple cores and rotten apples in the soil. Worm food works!
