Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 03/01/2002

Number: 1

Sacramento is an over-wintering site for robins and we have some throughout the year. In my many field excursions during the past month, there are dozens in open fields and on school and park lawns every day. I will stay more alert this year and try to determine when this large number begins to dwindle as they move north and into the Sierras. A smaller number remain throughout the warm spring and hot summer months.
