Driving to work the other morning I heard the distictive trill of a red winged black bird as I drove past a local marsh. Never before have I heard that sound in February! We have had a milder than usual winter and I have been waiting for the final blast of snow, but I doubt it will happen now that the red winged black birds have arrived. I have never known it to snow after their arrival. Hello Spring!
