Red-winged Blackbird (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/01/2002

Number: 1

We are experiencing a late winter snow storm. Some snow on the ground and the lone red-winged blackbird was seen on my ground platform feeder eating sunflower seeds due to snow cover. Haven't heard their singing yet. With weather, it is understandable - not much to sing about when you are worried about finding food!
