As I was driving into the school yard area, I passed the little stream that runs next to the school. Sitting in the middle of the stream was a great blue heron. He looked cold, since the temperature had dropped last night and this morning it was 12'F
with the wind chill factor. These strange weather patterns must be hard on the animals as well as us.
