Just observed my first male Red-winged Blackbird of the season! We live on a small lake and have documented their arrival each year (3/21/01,2/29/00,03/17/99,03/01/98). I also observed my first Common Grackle. It's 34 degrees F and they are predicting 6-10 inches of snow within the next 48 hours!
