One adult Monarch spotted in Grapevine, Texas by the creek off of Wall Street. Spotted about 2:30 in the afternoon in a heavily wooded area. The Monarch appeared to be resting.

I talked to our Parks Hortoculturist Kevin Mitchell yesterday and he said he hasn't seen any Milkweed yet. Our city Parks department has also assured me that they will not mow milkweed areas this year until the Monarch has passed through. We have been working collectively as a city to keep Grapevine a hospitable Monarch area, it looks like it's paying off!
