On Tuesday, 3/12/02 we enjoyed story time in the garden where our tulips are. Some tulips had not emerged, some looked like like they hadn't grown very much, and several others had unfolded their leaves, but not any had bloomed. Today, 3/14 we had one very bright red bloom! and it was not on the plant that emerged and grew first and biggest. What a surprise! Last week the soil temps were 55 degrees. This week the soil temps have dropped to 50. We have been having very chilly air temperatures.
