I couldn't believe my ears, when I went out with my dog early this morning, and heard a robin singing! Later, walking through a field that adjoins some woodlands, I spied several robins, both male and female, enjoying taking a luxurious bath in a little puddle on the edge of the field, near the wood. When I walked into the wood, I saw more robins, both perched in the trees and down on the ground, scratching for grubs in last year's fallen leaves.
