Monarch male nectaring on orange Tiger Lily out in front of Lowe's this afternoon. We watched him for at least twenty minutes, very faded, some tatter of trailing edges, tears in hind wings. One of the chrysalides that froze last week eclosed today, another is dark ... should be some fresh monarchs flying around with the faded ones.
