About ten monarchs were sighted between Austin and San Marcos on Friday, 03/15/02. They appeared to be healthy and on a mission. I also found the first milkweed of the season. It has just started to surface and is 3" to 7" in length. Two monarchs were also reported mating in San Marcos 03/14/02 with torn wings but still alive and kicking!!!
