Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 03/16/2002

Number: 1

The extreme cold froze all the Vetch (monarchs loved it last year) on my place. It is now coming back. There is no sign of milkweed yet. My neighbors have it in their pasture which grows wild, I check for it this week, nothing yet. In my pasture my horses must eat it when it first comes up , because I have not seen it in mine. But I purchased yesterday 10, 1 gallon tropical milkweek (Butterfly weed) which I am going to plant where my horses cannot get to it. As soon as the bloodflower is available I will add that too.
All of the seeds bloodflower and common milkweed are just starting to appear.
