First red-winged blackbird seen on Sunday, March 17th. On Saturday I walked by the same pond, and stopped and listened for 5 full minutes. Not a sound. Today, Monday, I counted 13 songs in 1 minute. They're back! (I believe it was just two males dualing it out, but still quite a remarkable change in sound!)
