Saw thousands of Sand Hill cranes ,Snow Geese, Greater and Lesser Canadian Geese along Platte River from Grand Island Ne. to Kearney, Ne. -the first to arrive came the end of Feb. Then the 1st week of March they came in huge flocks flying day and night. In some places the ground looked covered with snow,there were so many snow geese. the Bald Eagles (2) we saw were on the ground in an open field just west of Axtell,Ne at 8:00Am 3-17-02
I have crocus blooming and my jonquils and tulips have broken ground .My husband said the snow geese probably covered a 10 acre area.
