Saw my first monarchs this year today in Dallas, TX. Spending about an hour in the field I saw a total of 12 (3 females; 9 males) most very worn with chunks out of the wings and others looking only mildly faded, although I did not catch all for a closer look. Temps today in Dallas were in the mid-70's with a strong southerly wind. Milkweed was found in two different locations.
