Asclepias asperula, a native milkweed and growing wild in DeWitt County, has been "loaded" with eggs this week. First plant we checked had three stems (twelve, fourteen, and eighteen leaves) with nine eggs and one first instar. An informal county on one hundred stems (average of twelve leaves) yielded one hundred eggs and the one larva. ... see Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted) ...
