First leaves were observed this afternoon on both Asclepias oenotheroides and A. viridiflora in DeWitt County (six to eight leaves). They have joined the more mature A. asperula, the other native milkweed growing wild in the same general area. The asperula leaves have been "loaded" with eggs this week, plus one first instar. http://asclepias.homestead.com/
